wax on grey plastic...how do i get it out??

I waxed the truck a while back and i didn't do the best job possible with the polisher. I ended up getting some wax on the bed handle, and on the plastic that surrounds the top of the bed.

Now i have some white residue in the plastic.
How do i get it out...it looks like crap!!!!

From: Colorado,
I've had good luck with 303 aero space.

It's good for all the soft ware.

That is why I got rid of all that black plastic crap. I hate that white the wax leaves. I use back to black on it.

thanks for all the ideas, but i was told armour-all works, and instead of using my toothbrush (as i wanted to use that later) i tried the armour-all.
Works great and looks brand new!!

After the first splash of water, the armor all will come off, leaving it the way it was.

Not only will Armor All wash off very easily, Armor All is alcohol based and will eventually dry out whatever you use it on. I actually had a friend get yelled at during a car show once because the other folks there saw his armor all. LOL

start waxing your truck with turtle wax ice . comes in liquid, and paste guaranted it wont leave any white stuff on your plastic, it actually tells you to use it on your trim . i tried it on my fathers 05 f 150 and it looked like i used armor on all the trim and 2 months still no white build up

Try a wet Mr. Clean Magic Eraser (if you're not familiar, ask wife or girlfriend)

3M makes a aresol wax and adhesive remover that works great when used with a stiff brush. As mentioned, peanut butter and the Magic Eraser work pretty well to.

The next time you use your polisher, take a few minutes to mask out the trim with blue painters tape. It take a few extra minutes but it's worth the effort. If your waxing by hand and staining trim, start being more careful and don't half *** the job.

Auto Glym

Don't know if you can get this stuff in the states but Auto Glym does stuff called bumper care as part of their range of polishes and cleaning stuff and it is awesome, water repellent as well which offers great protection.
It protects any black plastic on the car.

Oh...I'm in Scotland so we get loads of rain to practice with

You can get Autoglym in the states by online ordering, I actually use their Super Resin Polish. Really, alot of the good stuff cannot be found easily in the mass market stores. Most of the real good stuff has to be ordered online anyway.
