Question Bassani

Has anyone used the stock Ford cats on a full Bassani exhaust system to solve the problem of the junk cats that come with the system?

Rene,
I have heard of this done, there was no loss and no gain in performance I think I recall that it was a tiny bit quieter.

I have the Bassani headers and cat backs. They work fine and the sound is great not to loud but a good deep rumble. Perfornace may have picked up a few hundreths but no real noticable gain.

I don't know about the gain in performance yet since I haven't dynoed it, but it sure sounds awesome as hell now. I haven't had a problem with mine and I bought the entire kit, headers back. Some people said the rattling is from the heat sheilds not being welded all the way across, I do think they should have done that for $1800.00.

Rene,
My Bassani cats are crap, thinking about welding the old stock ones back on. Spiro said he bought Catco's from Summit and was very happy. I might go that way instead, just haven't made up my mind.
