Thumbs up new times from red river!

ran at red river today.. no lightnings showed up, but a jillion of those f-body guys did.

ran a best time of 13.24 @ 102.61
mods are R9 superchip and a dirty k&n airaid system.
also weighed the truck at the track..
4960lbs total with me, a ton of crap behind the seat, and 1/8 tank of gas.

i figure with a little more practice (and some nittos, a cobra throttle body and maybe a bigger mass air) i'll hit 12's.
what do you guys think?

i have got to beat my friends '00 formula 6 speed.
he put a cold air induction kit, a clear smooth airbox lid, k&n filter, exhaust dump, and nittos. ran a 12.9!
i have to beat him! LOL

Clonetech- Good times for just a chip and filter kit. You should get on the JDM list and get their 90mm mass air, and throttle body. You will have to get you superchip reburnt so you might as well have them put their program on it. That should put you ahead of your friends formula....Bill
And maybe clean your filter..... HAHA

i think the dirt is what keeps my truck from pinging.
(or maybe it was that gallon of 110 octane i added) hehe
i do need my chip re-burned.

Thought I'd tell you this in case you didn't know. If that 110 octane gas is not unleaded it will ruin your 02 sensors. Also if your motor doesn't need 110 octane it will burn slower and make your truck slower too! Only use the octane you need. As for the 12's,get a JL or JDM program they are faster, and somebody made a good suggestion on the 90 mm mass air. You might also consider the JL ram air kit too. Just some suggestion's. Thanks Mike

i know the gas was leaded.. i only added a gallon to my 93 octane.. i was more concerned about pinging than the o2's & cats.
(o2's and cats are easy to change compared to pistons)

/me thinks we've created a monster...

Great job, Brooks! You'll be seeing 12s very soon. Especially with the attitude you have for racing now.

Cool

clonetek - Sounds like your truck is really running well. Silver_2000 and I are thinking about Hallsville next Sunday if we can get a few more guys interested. We're hoping for 12s soon as well.
