Unhappy Lightning Everyday Is It Right For Me ???

I currently have an F250 Diesel standard cab and have owned many a sports cars along the way. Today, I put a deposit on a lightning and I am excited about it. My question is that I drive 18,000 miles per year and run around everyday during work. I haul light weight items occasionally and 5-10 times a year pull a trailer and tractor. I am board with the typical pickup. Is the lightning right for me ? Thanks !!!!!

nplus - it's only right for you if you would enjoy a vehicle that can haul your stuff, tow your tractor/trailer and out run most other vehicles out there. And for the ones you can't beat running stock there are mods that will make you even quicker.

By the way, what does the tractor/trailer weigh?

Perfect.

I wish I had such a good reason, now I have to admit to wanting it because I want it...

He's moving from a F250 Diesel to an L, just wanted to make sure he wasn't planning on trying to tow a 10-15K LB tractor/trailer. I've pulled a boat/trailer at about 4500 with no problems at all. At 3300 he is in great shape.

Be sure to put some high speed bearings in the trailer.....

Sounds perfect to me. I tow a 6500 lb. boat/trailer very easily. The Lightning is capable of towing 8700 lbs. with a load distributing hitch. I use something called Roadmaster active suspension http://www.activesuspension.com and it works great for me. I think you will be delighted with your truck.

Damm Right it is the right truck. I drive 25-30,000 miles a year, 30 miles each way to work. I figure if I have to drive this much I might as well drive a fun vehicle.

I do carry some stuf in the bed fairly often, so I need a truck, and why not have the best truck. Hey you only live once, and if you can afford it I say go for it.

I also have a boat that I put in the water in June and take it out in September. I only tow it a few miles, and I bet it will look real good behind the Lightning.
