Thumbs up Thor01 Is Back & Running.........

I've got her back!!!
Runs great and no problems! #4 spark plug took a *****! SVT replaced it and she's pounding pavement. They did a nice job of checking the truck out and the guys were cool! Nothing major

They were quick to check the truck out to make sure it was an isolated issue and it was. Fine job. Now for the braek-in!!

Thanks SVT

Question

Thor01,
SO YOUR BACK!
So please tell me what you mean that you lost #4 spark plug? Did the tip break? Was it cracked, fouled, detonated? Was it a lose spark plug wire etc........ I find it hard to believe that the plug was bad. Even if the tip was completely broken off or fouled your Bolt would still run, just not 100% more like 85%-90%. It difinately would not feel like it was running on three cylinders. For the sake of all soon to be 2001 owners, I feel that it is very important that we find out exactly what caused you to lose one candle.

Again, congrates on your new Baby!

2001Bolt,
I was at work while they were working on the truck! I was told #4 plug was not firing! I didn't see the plug! I have to take them on their word. I will be changing out the stock plugs this weekend at the same time im going to do a compression/leakdown on all the cylinders as I replace the plugs!

Talking

I would also check the resistance on a few or all of the ign. coils and compare the ohm's to #4. Just to make sure you do not have a bad coil. Checking the spark plug wires wouldn't hurt either.

Can you tell this is my first L?

Believe it or not I have owned nothing but GM for daily drivers. NOT NO MORE! for other reason I need not to mention. Time switch to the Blue Oval like my racecars...

Thor01,

I'm glad it was nothing major. Did you ever get chance to check out if there are edge tabs on the PCM circuit board beneath the access cover. Can you tell me what is the calibration code on the PCM label? If you already supplied this info, sorry I might have missed your post. I would recomend you consider ther intake mods, such as the oval throttle body and a ram air system as some of the first things done besides a chip.

Thanks in advance for the info requested,

Lightning Bob

Lightning Bob,
When my truck was in the hands of the SVT engineers, I asked if they changed the PCM. They told me no. Same PCM that's in the 99-00 Lightnings. Were fine on the chip!

Just the calibration changed!

Thor1, glad to hear your truck is back and working. My dealer just called and mine is in!!! Now for the bad news. I just had an emergency appendix operation on Tuesday and I can't drive because of the drugs. God, my wife is going to get to drive it before I do. Hope I feel like going to get it tomorrow. At least I'll be able to ride home in it.

1bnsfn,
Hey your supposed to lighten up the truck! Not you and the truck! . I hope you have a quick recovery and get behind that wheel soon. Need to kick some c!evy A$$. Would you let your wife race the truck if she pulled up to a slowmarow on the way home from the dealer?
