Confused New Lightning Owner

I just bought a 2000 Lightning w/ 96k miles and 100% stock with the exception of a spray in bed liner. The truck is in excellant condition and I totally love it and would like to keep it stock, BUT I'M FINDING THAT VERY DIFFICULT. Question is what bolt-on's would you recommend me starting out with. Nothing extreme, just like (exhaust, programer, intake ect. ) And what brand works the best. Thanks for the advice. Houston, Tx

4# or 6# lower pulley and Xcal2 or predator tuners. Go with those right off the bat. You don't NEED an intake or an exhaust.

Exhaust is a no brainer just for the fun factor. Magnaflow is a great value that sounds aggressive without being too overbearing... but you will find everyone has a favorite and there are MANY to choose from.

As for intake, same story. Do your research.

I would also suggest an Xcal 2 with a custom tune so you have room to modify your tunes down the road as your mod list grows. Avoid "canned" or generic tunes.

4lb lower, Pred Tuner, Line Mod Valve. I think exhaust are a waste on Lightnings and I have one... I would do a CAI because it makes the blower sound so good.

Whatever you do, get a DYNO TUNE. That's a lot of miles on that chariot.

FTVB!!! My favorite is the valve body (firms shifts like it should have been from the factory. I did a magnaflow catback first as well as an intake, but thats because I was under warranty and a catback and intake were basically the only things back then that wouldnt void a warranty (plus I got the intake from Tom/QuickBrick for cheap ) Overall, the biggest difference you will gain is with a dyno tune and a pulley to overdrive the supercharger for more boost. Most people buy Lightnings and Terminator Cobras for the sheer fact that you can add a pulley/chip(now tunes)/Filter and get 100 more hp and torque and run twelves at the dragstrip for like $500 where if it was any other car you would only get like 15 horsepower
