Arrow Check it out.....-----> opinions please

I would like everyone's opinion on this.

Below I have added 2 photos of the interior conversion that I have been working on for the last month. I have added a center console, and also had a local Trim shop "TIP TOP AUTO" in De do the custom work to the original passenger seat turning it into a bucket.

This project could not have been done so well, and so affordable without my friends. I want to thank everyone that helped me achieve the look I wanted. Thanks to all. Lets have a safe and fast YEAR!!!

Feel free to give me your honest opinions, I think it looks great...

I think this is the way FORD should have sent them out. Who needs that little jumper seat in a sport truck...??

Spiro,
I agree, that is the way the truck should have been sent out from Ford. So the middle seat has been totally removed? I wonder if their would be a way to mount the CD changer in the console like most Expy's with captains chairs do? Nice looking truck.

SVT-Snake,

The center console is HUGE. It could probably hold 3 disc changers.
Yes,The center seat has been removed permanently Thanks

And, for you drag racers out there, this combination is actually a few pounds lighter than OEM.

Spiro,

I think it looks great!! Who/what is the center console from?

I think with your center console you can have more storage.

How expensive? Just a ball park figure along with the brother-in-law discount of course. and..... what did the passenger seat come from?

Spiro99SVT,

That looks fantastic! The console from the new Expeditions is wider and bigger than the one I put in mine because it also acts as the armrests. My next truck will have the console that you put in. Where did you get the console?

One more question...are you going to paint the dark grey part black to match the truck?

This should answer the question someone else has as to whether an Expy console will fit in a regular cab.

Bulldog,
Check out the link in my signature for the Expy How-to and my site for more info.

Now that I like. Too bad there is so much work required.

And yes, that's how they should have been made.

The '97-'99 Expy consoles are narrower to allow for the armrests of the captain's chairs (like in my SuperCab). In '00 they changes the seats in the Expy and removed the armrests, allowing for a wider center console (that's what Spiro has in his L).

Very easy mod for a SuperCab with Captain's Chairs but it looks pretty involved for you L owners. It sure does give you a lot more usable space to store things, though.
