ok, well.. got the truck back today.. they told me they couldn't re-create the dying problem. They did fix all the little stuff so i was happy with that warranty they gave me on the truck (50k warranty on the long block, not bad for a 1999). Anyway, i must be really good at breaking breaking/qa, as i no more had dropped my daughters off at the house and took it to get washed.. and walah it dies. I was turning right and after i straightened it up i floored it doing about 5-10mph. then zzzzzz engine dies. I put it in neutral and started it back up ..threw it into drive and off it went again.

I did find out that the truck def. has some things done to it.. like a bigger pulley.. the guy said it wasn't a stock pulley and it had aftermarket lower control arms or trailer arms.. ?? not sure as i haven't got under there and looked yet. I'm almost thinking since he did have it pullied.. then maybe there is a chip in it. I looked at that pic on this post about the chip.. and is it located inside that sliver box? pardon my ignorance.. but what exactly am i looking for ?

I planned on taking it up to a shop in lewisville for a custom tune.. and maybe they can tell me what's going on with the dying thing at WOT. but for now i'm a broke turkey and need to hold off and utilize the warranty. The shop told me to bring it back tomorrow and pick him up and he can ride along with me to exp the shutdown.. but not sure how much that will help.

any more thoughts.. i'm going to have them check the fuel pump tomorrow first. but if that's ok what's the next step (will check the fuel filter as well).

Could be blowing the plugs out if you're over the stock boost (pullied) and have the wrong plugs/gap. I think Rob_00 had the same problem with one of his trucks.
