Sixpipes: great truck. How much was the tonneau (spelling?) cover?
Where is Little Elm? I am moving back to Ft. Worth (an Arlington native) this summer...

Another question: What's it like keeping the chromies clean? A pain on the wallet? Do you find staining a problem? Do you clean them at home with water, or trust car washes?

Thanks.

Zeus 2k1 -

I took the picture last Sunday at the E/R autocross. Its actually Doug's truck (Silver_2000 ). I'm not sure he has any pictures yet. I think the silver looks great with chrome wheels.

This is the only other picture I have of Doug's truck with chrome rims. Tires are 35 series. I recently bought chrome wheels for my truck and they are very easy to keep clean. Give us a shout when you get to Dallas. There's always something cooking down here.

Will do. Up here in Kansas City there isn't much Lightning action, at least on the G2 level.
Can't wait to get back to the Republic of Texas - I hear Lightning's cover Texas like stink on doo-doo...

Nice pictures Sixpipes....
It was 40 degrees and I was in the truck trying to warm up when he took these pictures..
Can you see me in the cab flipping Sixpipes off ?? Damn the tint is too dark.....

I have no idea how tough they are to keep clean since they are brand new. I waxed them when they were new hoping that would make them easier to clean.

We'll see. Keep in touch Zeus - As Sixpipes said there is always something going on down here

I got the Snuglid from DFW Camper Sales it was $799 I think...

Doug

my cover was about $730 at DFW camper corral. its the same as silver2k's but mine is white. they are great guys there. they took care of me when i noticed i had a scratch in my tonnoue when they were installing it. ordered me a brand new one, but let me keep the scratched one as a loaner till mine got in. you should hook up with TALON and the texaschapter when you get down here.

Question

Hey Silver_2000

Can you give me some advice on tires and pressures ? I plan on running autocross this summer with mine. Did you increase the camber at the front ?

How does that blue paint come off? Does it harm your finish? What kind is it? Don't think I could do that to my vehicle's paint. Sweet trucks though guys.

The blue is body tape- Comes right off....

As far as air pressure I will admit that I have NEVER adjusted the air pressure in any tire to race. (My Name is Doug .... I am Not addicted to air pressure.... ) At this point in my Drag racing and autocross career the driver is far too un reliable to start adding yet another variable in the mix. I also have not made any alignment changes to my truck. The truck is primarily a daily driver, I wont make any changes to the truck that make the drive to work less fun or efficient.

I bought the tires and rims for better traction and cheaper tires. I will likely run them both for Autocross and at the strip. The F1's work good both in autocross and at the strip but they arent great and I kept hearing "cha ching" every time I drove them to the strip or to an autocross...

Doug
