whipple power all day long lol

Well I got to enjoy my Whipple all day long Thursday LOL. IT has been a long long time since I got to enjoy my truck. The last time out i made it 10 miles and had to be towed in because of a bad 255 pump. Wed. night i installed the new 255 fuel pumps (removed bed this time / much easier). Thursday morning got the truck running. Then it was off for the test drive. I made 3 or 4 laps around my block just to make sure the pumps were working LOL.

First impressions are based on 3/4 throttle, safe tune JJ sent me just to get it on the dyno, and 90+ degree outside temps.

The Whipple has a whole diff. feel to it compared to a pullied stock/or ported eaton. With the Whipple the truck has a very smooth never ending pull. The boost needle jumps to 10psi as soon as I mash the gas pedal down. Then it climbs all the way to 16psi (Hay's boost overlay/not a true boost guage). From a stop(3/4 throttle) the truck spins some and just takes off. Second comes with a hard spin. Third will put you in jail LOL. The sound from the Whipple is growing on me. I really liked the sound of the stage 3 eaton I had. Super smooth power band and i can not wait to get JJ to fine tune it next weekend . The Truck is quicker at 3/4 throttle and on a safe tune than it was with my old set up at full throttle.

I took two fellow lightning owners for a little spin last night also. Their truck has a pulley, mod. stock intake, tune, catback, and i think it is a 02. Took each one of them sep. so i could see what each one thought. Both said the same things. Both felt the truck was alot faster than it was before. Talked about how diff. the truck pulls compared to their L. And the diff. sound the Whipple makes. I see a Whipple or KB in their near future LOL.

Thanks to LFP and WMS for helping me get this monster running again.

CONGRATS svtsilverback and WOO HOO !!! I would die to be able to go 3/4 throttle from a stop, hell I would die to be able to go 1/4 throttle
(belive me THERE IS A LOT (and I mean A LOT) more in it ; o )

You / I may never get use to not having a whine in the Supercharger BUT it does have a sound all to it's own, and it is a Bad A$$ Sound (with my frigging exhaust I cant hear anything anyway) hehehe

The power these Whipples put down is outright amazing and at the power level I'm at these days belive me when I tell you I have met and passed any and all goals I have ever dreamed up in my lifetime. It isnt a Lightning I take out anymore for those oh so amazing rides every day, it's a frigging animal I tell ya... BEST OF LUCK BRO !!!
