Hey, I'm only 33, but with 2 kids I'd love to have one. I think the Marauder is very cool. Love the stance and the powerplant.

We had a '97 SHO (decent car), but my wife wanted an Expedition, so that's what we have.

Guess I'll have to put a blower on it sometime.

Thumbs up

If you've only seen them in books or on TV, I'm here to tell you I got up close and personal with a Maurader about three weeks ago. The real thing is one sweet car. The one I had a chance to look at and hear running had 18" 5 spoke coddington wheels, leather buckets, shifter on the floor with 2 gauges mounted in the console, the instrument cluster was in white with a 140mph speedo and tach. it also had chrome 3" exhaust. In my opinion, the car sounded better than any Mustang and revved effortlessly. It may be time to put my Crown Vic out to pasture. The only problem is I may also have to sell my race car and trailer to make room in the garage to park it next to my 99 Lightning........

300hp 4.6L 300 ft/lbs, not enough for me, wish they could have crammed the 5.4L in there.

MRBBQMAN, Yea, the cops wanted the 5.4 too. Seems a redesign from the firewall forward is required. Also Fords CAFE numbers are horrible because they use too many 5.4s already. They don't want to do it.

AW *****. It was suppose to have a blower. That means its just another doggy mustang that probably won't even make 250 hp at the rear wheels. Not a threat to anything. How boring....Ford had a chance to save the Mercury line and they blew it. What a bunch of jerks.

I'm excited about it too. Maybe I'm old too.LOL(31) Lets reserve judgement until we see how it performs. Sure, I wanted to see the navigator motor in it to,but it's not going to happen. It will be interesting to see how the cobra motor responds to an automatic. I'm hoping the forged internals will carry over from the the Cobra. I'm thinking high 14s. A blower on it would be a great ride. We've all seen how those cobras respond to blowers!

does it weigh more than the L. Phooey. who wants a high 14 second car to go with a 12 second truck. If it can't outrun a WS6 its worthless. Looks to be about 100 horsepower short and we all know the trouble Ford had with this engine in the Cobra. Thats why they quit making it because they couldn't get any horsepower out of it. It's a DOG. I thought perhaps with the blower they had found a way to make it hum. I guess with all the problems they've had with the Lightning blowers made'em gunshy. Too bad. Another almost was that isn't. I wonder if you can buy one without an engine and transmission. I'll bet theres a way to put the L's 5.4 in it.
