Thanks for the info
So about $500 plus bucks just for the front system. Didn't think it was going to be that expensive. Hope the rear is cheaper. THanks

I'm afraid this is going to be a stupid question...if so, don't make it too rough on me. Would the 2001 rear lights be a simple, bolt-in, plug-in-to-existing-harness on a 2000?

yes they will fit on a 97 up. youll just have to move the lights around.

tell me how this sounds.

i was quoted a dealers cost of around $30 a light from a ford dealership for the 2001 taillights.

i buy a few thousand a year from them in ford parts and they usually give me discounts on things. he said theyd be on backorder for a while.

does $65 seem right for a pair of these taillights.

1L3Z-13404/5-CA

these are the part #'s they gave me.

if this is right i am going to

1999 black lightning,
cervinis ramair hood,
4 infinity kappa 6x8,

tinted windows,clear corners, piaa superwhites,

coming up soon: power pulleys, slotted rotors, flowmaster exhaust, superchip, 100 shot of nox, belltech 3-4 drop, ramair kit, headers, plus more i just can't think of.

Yes they will fit, but make sure you have a shorter bolt for the rear tailights. It will go through the lense if you don't cut it or get shorter ones.

Pick up an issue of truckin or sporttruck ...you can findaftermarket identical and some that in my opinionook better forless than what you would pay for the lightning lights at a dealer..i've seen pairs at my local raceshop identical for the same price..thats for 2 lights not one..and that included the bulbs

All of the lamps should be available now for the 2001 and you should be able to purchase them all complete for under $500.00 if you shop around. I saw the prices that were mentioned and those are list. You can do better. You can purchase this item for under $140.00

BABOLT, What is the part# for that third brake light?

My local full boat parts guy said $230+ for that, I am figuring $130~$140 would be about right for jobber or wholesaler?
