Add a four pound pulley to the list and a proper tune and I think you'll be very happy.

I was thinking about that but would that include a fuel pump upgrade as well?

Not for a 4# Pulley if you get a proper tune... I ran the stock pump as well as a couple of my frinends with 6# pulleys.

No offense, but you are just throwing money around without understanding what these things can and can't do for you.

Take some more time to soak up the info here before you unload your wallet. It will not only help keep you from wasting money, it could also save your engine.

Someone with a stock truck, and $400 worth of chip and pulley could dust you with the mods you list above.

I guess that's fair enough, I'm just used to turbo's and all they can do in cars not trucks that's why all the questions... I was just recomended the mods i mentioned above and I received a good deal on all the intake stuff (plenum, single blade throttle body, 90mm Mass Air Meter, cold Air Kit) so I have that but I guess I'll search around for chips and see how that works out, from what I understand tho JDM has some good chip, is that correct?

Further proof you need to do some research...you already have the equivalent of a 'chip' with the XCAL2 you bought.

your wasting some money on some of those mods, as you will not see any benefit until you have more mods. i would start off with and Intake(12 in filter) a 4lb lower and a SCT tuner with a custom tune. Next I would do a factory tech valve body in the tranny. that will liven the truck and and make it much more enjoyable and then the other mods to follow and they will have some benefit.
Listen to Tim!!! this has been discussed over and over, everything you bought is good just not necessary at this point on a stock truck.

(Ya what they said) and Tim for President

If you already bought that list of Mods I guess there's nothing more to say except to repeat --> PUT A 4lb PULLEY ON IT

Just a little For Your Information....
A stock L "plus" a Filter Tune and Pulley ='s instant 12 second L
AND you could have bought everything needed for under $500.00 brand new.
But no need to cry over spilled milk, Congrats and Good Luck

4lb lower, bassani catback, JLT intake and some COOOOLD azz weather = 12.55.
I'd definitely go with the group consensus and get a 4lb or 6lb pulley, the SBTB and upper plenum are a waste of money on a bascically stock L. Traction bars and a valvebody are a really good investment too if you plan to drag race with any frequency!

Its not a good deal if it does nothing to improve performance. Lots of good info. here. Just need to do your homework.

going bacl to the whole chip idea.... which is better tuner or chip? i know chip is more permament, but if you have problems with the ECU and you need to reset it does it clear the info on the chip too? if that's the case then the tuner would be better... i just haven't delt with chips and a lot of people are saying they are much better than tuners... whenever i upgraded an ecu i simply swapped it for a better one... hence the no experience.. thanks
