Cool 2001 Test Drive!

I went up and took a 2001L for a test drive tonight. Dealer has two one black one RED. The door sticker is CXN-1, The only interior difference is the sunvisor. I gotta have the third brake light, really trick looking. I like the new front, it looks better than in the pics. I still hate the wheels. Now for the drive, It feels more responsive in town with the shorter gears, the extra power is not as readily apparent. I could not tell a big difference with the new shocks, maybe a little smoother over bad pavement.

How many miles did the test vehicle have on it ?

How did it compare to your vehicle before mods ? (I assume you have a chip and/or filter)

Does it sound different ?

My truck is still stock and has 1500 mi.
The test truck had 24 miles on it. It sounded the same. That aluminum driveshaft looks sharp too, Something else for the Mod list.

Thumbs up

My truck with 24 miles would have been left for dead compared to my truck at 2000 miles. The engine really comes alive after having been broken in.

Did you like the grill ?
And the new mirrors with the indicators ?

The grill really looks good in person much better than in the pics. I know one thing, it will be easier to clean than those annoying honeycombs! You can't see the indicators from inside the truck. The elongation in the mirror to house the lights looks a little strange. Not noticable on the black truck but on the Red it kind of stuck out, not bad looking just different.

Winner Ford in Dover Delaware. I would not recommend buying from them however. They put on the $500 "protection package and $400 plastic POS bedliner as soon as they get them and they don't move on price. But at least they have a couple in stock.

The only "Protection Package" I ever felt I needed while at a car dealership was Kevlar underwear......

Spiro-Yeah they just came in Wednesday, The Red one is right out front under the lights. Everytime I go there they act like I can't afford the truck or something, he!! I drove up in my 2000 L! Preston in MD will do X-plan on an SVT and my wife's company has an X plan deal with Ford.
Jim- Holy Shi! $190 I was figuring $100 tops, that will definitely have to wait a while

SLPCAMAROSS98 - try Fullerton, Oasis or Dayton Ford. They all have some coming in over the next few weeks.
