Question about truck covers
I would like to purchase a truck cover from California car cover co. They have a new material out called superweave. That is supposed to be pretty much rain and dust resistant.Has any one used this cover ?. Just wondering if it is worth the money. Thanks. Bob
Hey Bob,
I have purchased 2 car covers from www.calcarcover.com The first one (for 87' Taurus) is made from the stormweave material (Evolution 4). It's a thick material but hard to handle. Water still gets thru the material (maybe I have to run it thru the washer or something). The Superweave (bought it October 00' for 74' Monte) is lightweight and very easy to handle. It rained a few days ago and the water still rolled off the cover like Mercury! After it stopped raining I checked under the cover and found the paint was still dry. It's the best car cover I've seen. The only reason why I haven't gotten one for the L is because I just love driving the L everyday...and I'm saving $ for mods. Hmmm maybe if there was a GP for them...
Hope this helps

SVT Bob - I bought the cover you are talking about for my L. It is very well made and looks great. I don't drive the L everyday and this really helps keep the dust off and it helps protect it from those little scratches that always seem to appear. I opted to take the antenna off rather than make a hole in the cover for it.

Hey Bob, C4 Motorsports (California Car Cover Company) is right down the street from me in Chatsworth. They are a great company with quality products. If you get this cover, you won't regret it. Good choice!
