Does anyone know if the back piece of the side mirrors which is black is a seperate piece (like a cap) or is the whole mirror one piece. In other words, do I have to buy the entire side mirror or can I just get the back side of the mirror?

This one I can answer for you. The painted piece on the back is a seperate piece. Reason I know when I took delivery there was a scratch on the back of the mirror mine was red in color. They repainted it and did a lousy job.I had them replace the mirror they swapped it off another lightning.When you order that piece it has to be painted. Because it only comes with priemer on it.
