Ya I got an update, I'd die to be able to floor my L at any speed without roasting the tires off the rims. Even at 50-60 MPH if I mash it it'll go into a tire spinning smoke filled experience

Welcome Mobile and Best of Luck with the Lightning
As long as it idles good, has no misses in it, and feels strong I would not lose sleep over it. The factory Throttle Body's are real schitt in many of the L's and my guess is so is yours. (prob what emig5m experienced too).
When I bought my old 02 brand new it didnt do smokeys from a stop either
(without a little help from a power brake), yet there was NOTHING wrong with the vehicle or motor. I got the Mod Bug very quickly so I bought a chip and 4lb Lower pulley for it the first month, by the 2nd month I already added a 2lb upper pulley and of course a Filter, (no prob doing smokey's after that)
BUT it wasnt into I decided to buy what everyone will tell you is useless, a Single Blade Throttle Body, that I realized how bad the stock one was. The absolute second I started the truck up I noticed an IMMEDIATE difference, when I took a ride the low end response was unfrigging believable, "night and day differance". In my case the low end lose of power was clearly due to a slugish Throttle Body, and I'm sure I was not alone.

When you get a little seat time in and want more power ask what to do and everyone will tell you the same thing, install a 4lb lower Pulley, a Filter, and a Custom Tune. This will get you to the 400/500 Club, and a 12 second Lightning, believe me after those mods you WILL NOT have problems burning rubber (some time after that I would consider a Single Blade Throttle Body)

he was talking about his fuel injected lightning, not his lawn mower.

If your truck never starts push the primer bulb a couple times!

Yea, the intercooler pump was shot. Once replaced, made a ton of difference. Fairly easy to break the tires loose now.

Thanks for all the help.

Rob, I will take your advise with the pullies, filter, and tune. If the new throttle body is that good, I will begin pricing.

Thanks again,
Jeremy

Hell Rob, I'm taking your advise and I'm buying a Single Blade Throttle Body! Where did you get yours and how much? To heck with how much...j/k. Thanks for your experience.
