I just saw 'FLYBY2.mpg' that was cool. That thing sounds like a freakin' jet! As if Nathan's didn't sound like one...

I must be a dumbarse, I click on the link to see the vids, and it acts like it's loading up, but when it's done, it's just a blank page. And I have all of the popular players, Quicktime, Window Media Player, Real 8 Player, Magic Jukebox player. I've played other videos before, I can still play tundras....so It can't be a confusion in which player to choose. Any help? (sorry so long)

Clonetek

If they can help me strip and replace the sound from an MPG that comes from a Mavica camera I will pay them a consulting fee. I have tried about 4 different movie editing packages none will let you strip just the sound from an MPG

BLackBoLT99 I have always used Windows Media player- You may need to download it. Try shift right click on the icon to force it to open with media player. If that doesnt work the file got corrupt in download

Silver 2000,

Have you tried out Ulead Video Studio???

I started using that with the Sony DV Cam and its pretty good. Allows you to strip audio or video, convert formats and supports MPG 1, MPG 2, AVI and all other major compression

Its about 100$ from Best Buy

If you want, send me a CD with the data and I will strip and return. I got a 56k connection so it would take hours to download all of them...

Later

Brian

I am using Ulead se. It and all the other software companies are able to output MPG's but None are able to accept MPG as an input.

It may be a limitation of the SE ( Lite ) version, but I also tried Adobe premier and a couple others and had the same results.

If you want to test it download the 200k crash video which would be quick and an easy test. http://www.svtlightnings.com/svt/flyby/crunch.mpg

You should see little windows media players ( active X controls ) on the web page - Do you see them ?? They should automatically start downloading the movies, you should see a the progress bar turn white as it downloads.

What version of IE and Windows media player are you using ??

If not one thing then it's another, I though I fully joined, but I guess I only joined MSN or something like that. So I joined the community, and now I can download the videos, but now it's saying it's corrupt. Do I need to RE-install my media player?

You dont have to join anything. I have an MSN community but it has nothing to do with these.

I use IE50 and Windows Media player Ver 6 and 7. Realplayer basic 8 will work as well.

Here is link to media player download ( NOT for Win 95 or NT )
http://www.microsoft.com/windo ws/windowsmedia/en/download/default.asp?FinishURL=%2Fdownloads%2Frelease%2Easp %3FReleaseID%3D22383%26redirect%3Dno

I did have one file go corrupt when I was uploading it to the web server. So if you can watch any one of the files then the player is fine and you have aa corrupt download.

Sorry for all the trouble

Doug
