BIG thanks to PITSTAIN!!!

yesterday Ian Pitstain came over to my house to help me install my new custom dual fan setup.. about a week ago my old style JDM fan crapped out on me, i purchased it used off an NLOC member and got about two years of use out of it.. anyway, i needed to get my truck back on the road, Ian and I did some homework and after some searching I decided to go to Summit Racing and order TWO 16" DERALE fans, over nighted to me it was under $300!! now for the controlers, for now Ian gave me 2 Troyer controlers to use for the setup. the setup is running flawless and pushes alot of air to cool the beast.. the best part about the new setup is i have ALOT of room to work between the fans and the front of the engine now.. you may ask well without the factory shroud how did I retain the intercooler resevoir, i cut with Dremel the factory shroud where it would bolt to, i then put a nut and bolt through an existing hole on the top of the radiator "after drilling a hole in the top of the shroud" it is very secure and does not budge at all. here are a couple of pics took with my camera phone.. enjoy..

Always a pleasure to wrench on a buddies L, especially when I get to touch the Whipple !!

Thanks for the Pizza and diet coke, and the leftovers from your cage install.

no I have not got it done yet. i am having major issues with my boat motor build and that is consuming all my free time. I have another car to drive so the lightning is not my priority. too much money into the boat and not enough summer left, have to get that running first!!!

ha you should see the cuts and scraps on my arms, after working on my boat for like 8 hours on saturday i went over my buddies house and his girl is there. i go to the bathroom and come back and my buddy is pissing his pants laughing. his girl all quitely asked him if i had problems and was suicidal. she thought all the scraps were attempts. i really need to wear armor when i work on cars/boats

Nice! Keep an eye on the troyer controllers, I had a few crap out on me. Have you looked into other controllers. Spal or DC controller?

Those are temporary, I told Richie to get the DC Controller already, but he was ina pinch and I had those laying around, so in they went.

i did the exact same setup on my old 4.2 extended cab... Does the thing vibrate the whole truck? mine did... it gets annoying after a while... I had every rubber gromet in the world, and could not get it to be too shaky...
