Question What is a Dodge SS/T?

I thought it was an R/T when I saw the 'horsepower stripes' and got ready to stomp him. But it turned out to say SS/T and V8 all over it, and since I didn't know what it was I decided to find out. He was fast, but not Lightning fast. Several times when a hole opened up in traffic (heavy post rush-hour freeway) I would punch it and take off, look in the mirror and wonder "Why isn't he trying to keep up this time... Oh, he is. Come on 'sst', you can do it... There you go, try again?" All of them were in the sweet spot too - 55-60 where you get that unreal acceleration downshifting into 2nd. I don't think he knew what a Lightning was either, but he does now.

Aside from being pretty spiffy looking (they do look pretty good), not much. They have some minor performance improvements...

So presumably the SS/T is an extra add-on option to bring Dodges up to the level of super-slow.
