Ruslow,

The March 2001 (current ?) issue fo Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords (page 201) has Johnny L's driveshaft loop.

Both pieces appears to be strip steel, one straight and one shaped like a "U." When bolted on it makes a rectangular housing around the driveshaft.

I bought one and am expecting it tomorrow and can shoot you pictures of before and after.

Thumbs up

Bob-
If you don't mind, please post some pics if you get time. I'm probably gonna ahve to order one before WFC...our track could care less, but I'm sure Gateway is gonna be pretty strict.

Duck ,
Gateway does not even check... Last year WFC Spiro , Sal , myself and others were all running the MT ET's and they never looked... I would put it on if your truck is heavily modded but it's not something all tracks demand...

For $50 and 10 minutes work, it's cheap insurance, IMO.

The reason I am asking is because the loop that I make is for steel shafts only, because of the dia. of the alum shaft,I found this out when changing gears and the driveshaft this weekend. I am making a new one.So anyone who is thinking of upgrading to the alum shaft better see if the loop is big enough to handle the new shaft dia.,and still have enough clearance for movement about 3/4 in each side.
