Post What size are the stock speakers?

Searched the posts and saw posts that said they are 5X7, yet the audio places claim they're 6X8. What size will fit without modifications? How much modifications are required for 6 1/2?

I'm looking at infinity or MTX all around. Looking for expert help here. Deck is a clarion 9575RZ with the processor and a 600A 4 channel 600W Fosgate amp. Want to do things right!

Thanks alot guys

Berto

Talking

They are 6 x 8.(corrected) Pioneer make some good 3 way for the doors. Behind the seats anything goes. I took out the worthless box, moved the cd changer under the seat where its easy to change the pak and put bose 401 three ways and a 200 watt 4way amp back there. Many have put mega bases behind the seats.

They are 6x8's. The Pioneer 6x8's have "Custom-fit for Ford and Mazda vehicles" stamped on the edge of the woofer. The stocks are 6x8 but that's not saying 5x7 or 6 1/2's won't fit, I can't say. I used the 6x8's.

Cool

4D is correct 6x8's but if you can't find anything you like a 5x7 will fit right in and a 6-1/2 you will have to customize. I went with the 5x7 JL audio components and I am very happy.now just need my box installed.Good luck with your system.

Holeshot,
I am planning on going with a 6.5" component system. All you need are these adapters that I saw. Here is the link: http://www.caraudioandelectronics.co...d_spk_adpt.htm
