Post Lightning or SS/T Ram

Hi everyone,
My boss has a SS/T Dadge Ram and he says with all of his mods he would be able to smoke my 2001 lightning when I get it. I said there is no possible way but he keeps insisting that it would. I can't wait to smoke his ***, it will be pretty funny. Just curious but does anyone know the specs on a SS/T Ram and what the HP is right off the lot?

with the 5.9L motor, they make 245hp. Very Very rare, but an option, is the RT package which will bump them to 300 hp from the dealer.

Tell this walking corpse to bring it on. Only way he'll win is if you miss 5th gear...oh wait, you won't so hez ssssssmoooked

I bought a SS/T off the lot in 1997. I had the 390 rear end gears, new exhaust and a K&N filter. The hp was around 240 or so. No ***** on the highway. Its a heavy truck with low hp. I sold it after 6 months and didn't miss it. All I can say is you'll have fun with him. What kind of mods does he have? Pile up some miles then leave him a pair of black stripes on the pavement to go with the ones on his hood.

Correction: I was referencing the "Dodge" Ram. Don't know about a "Dadge" Ram.

(just had to harass a little)

He has a chip, exhaust, and K&N filter. Sorry about the Dadge thing, I type a little too fast so most of the time I screw up. :P

Oh I forgot, a loud exhaust actually makes you faster.....

Two choices:
1. Being um...er...confident = Time to either look for a new job

--OR--

2. Play to his ego = Negotiate one heck of a raise IF you win. Make it hurt OFTEN

Make your boss a friendly BINDING wager; whomever smokes whomever will have to display on the back window of their truck for a month, in very bold lettering, "I GOT SMOKED BY A LIGHTNING"

With those mods it will be a joke. I was only going to be worried if he dropped a Viper motor in it. I think you should tell him that you want to get a chip, filter and exhaust so that you can have a chance. Then it's time to find a new job.

those things come with factory racing stripes. i don't know if our factory installed ground effects can compensate for the stripes, it's your job and your call.

If you think thats bad, I have a friedn that works with a guy that thinks he can 'hang' with me because he has the ram V10. "Same block as the Viper." Sure buddy, take another hit. Have no worries what so ever. When I ad my first encounter with a ram, I was actually a little timid, I didn't think I would pull on him that bad.
