Talking Just a few photos of some play things

I've had cross drilled and ball milled rotors so I thought I would try something different.

A close up. No there not done yet still some milling to do and then the ceramic coating and the bolts will really stand out.

The final step is to insert these little stainless pieces into the pocket that I have milled into the front calipers and powder coat the completed caliper assembly and then polish the logo. I also made braided stainless brake lines to go with the setup.

Cool

Play things??!!

These are play things? I can't wait to see some of the serious stuff then. Mike, you never cease to amaze us!

I think the question that I and everyone else are asking is.... Are these just concepts or will they make it to production??

Great work man!!

Right and left, front and rear, 1999 and 2000 too. Now to top it all off I cut down the rear rotors a certain amount and reindexed the rear caliper mounting brackets. Now I can mount 15 inch drag wheels and not have to worry. No cutting or welding on key brake components. Also have some other items that I am making I will show them at a later date. All of the CAD data files and cutter path information is saved so it is only time to make duplicates.

Nice work Mike!
i have also done something unique. for the last year or so, i have been marking the Ford part # on some of the components of the truck, to make re-ordering easy. this idea must have caught on because during an oil change this am i noticed the new Ford filter already had the pt # on it! i've got a fresh set of Goodyear tires out there, and i'm thinking of marking the size and type, right on the tire! so look out Mike, you've got some competition (not) out here

BA,
Probably dumb question, however, please explain...with reindexing the Caliper mounting brackets and shaving the rotors do the calipers still need to be shaved?
If so, is that what you have saved on cad files or is it the rotors?
Thanks, Jim
