Post Just ordered 2001 Lightning

Hello everyone,
I just bought a brand new 2001 silver lightning. I just had some questions that I was hoping you guys might be able to help me out with. Whats the best Tanneau cover to get? I was looking at the *******'s x-2000. Has anyone ever used that one? I was also wondering what the best exhaust system is. Have many people recieved their 2001 lightnings? Post pictures of your truck if you have any I am very anxious to see them.

Thumbs up

Hi ciione,

Congratulatios with the 2001 L

There is a special going, check it out.

LSII Series
Uniquely Designed for Your Truck

The A.R.E. fiberglass tonneau features style lines that match the lines in your hood. The gas props, hinge and lock system make it easy to open and close the lid. The clamp-on frame makes installation and removal easy.

Cool

Congrats on the new truck. You won't regret it. I went with the X-2000 as well. I am waiting on delivery. I will comment on quality etc when I recieve it. Others have been happy with theirs. Do a search on exhaust, many have been tried, the general consensus is; do a swap for sound only, you are not going to see power gains. Chip+Filter are the best bang for the buck power mods.
