Im actually trying to make this decision myself......Debating between Strange rears with bilstein fronts or bilsteins all around. I like to drag race but only get to the track maybe 3x a year since its over 100miles away....I was going to go with QA1s but I just dont get to the track enough to warrant spending the money on them, plus I've heard way to much about durability issues on rough daily driving....

When I bought my L, it was already lowered and I had the QA1s on the back. I thought the shocks were too loose and not stiff enough and bounced quite a lot (I did come off from a M3 convertible with full aftermarket suspension). I also researched shocks and went with the Hotchkins Bilsteins. I have to say I recommend these shocks. It could been that the QA1s were already pretty used, but the Bilsteins didn't bounce nearly as much around expansion joints etc... But they still arent't stiff enough for my taste, but still make the truck handle great taking into account the weight of the vehicle, and leaf springs on the back. Good luck with the shocks!
