Post Painting the interior?

I was thinking about spiceing up the inside a bit with some red carbon fiber dipping and the maybe some painting of the interior plastic. I don't know but the interior of the L needs some color. I've never painted the plastic in any vehicle so I guess I wanted to know what a good type of paint and how well does it turn out.

Check out Corvette restoration parts dealers (Ecklers, Zip, Mid-America, etc) for stuff called Interior Dye. It's like spray paint but the formula is for interior parts. With careful attention to how you clean the parts and apply it you can even color flexible things like armrests. I haven't bought any in a long time, but if I remember correctly it's around $15/can.
Search on Corvette C3 Forum for tips on how to use the stuff.
