In defense of "real" Florida drivers (native Floridians, only about 5,000 of us left anymore) the majority of morons I encounter on the Interstate sport "yankee" tags (northern states) or they are older than Methuselah... They probably moved here from a Yankee state to retire !!!

Reason # 32 I am going to move from Florida in the very near future.....

So if im CRUISING doing the speedlimit or little over the limmit thats give a cop the right to me a ticcket because a *** bag behind me wants to do 30 over... give me a break.... i say take reason 32 and drive like *** bag some where else. maby youll slow it down when you rear end some one at 100 mph... and kill your self or someone else.

You know what? If I pull up on someone in the hammer lane, that's driving slower than I am, but is outpacing the traffic in the travel lane, I slow to his speed until he clears the traffic to his right. No problem. It isn't safe or courteous to tailgate. But... Once he's cleared traffic, and he doesn't want to get over and let ME pass, he has just taken on the role of "*** bag", as you so eloquently put it. It doesn't hurt you one bit to give way and keep me from having to pass you on the right. (Which can be a dangerous maneuver if the person you are passing isn't paying attention.) If you think 10 mph over the limit is as fast as anyone should drive, because that's all you want to drive, fine; but, you aren't driving MY vehicle. If you try to by being a jerk, then don't be surprised if I show you your I.Q. when I get around you. My dad always used to say, "If you don't like being called an A-Hole, don't be an A-Hole." I guess that applies to "*** bags," as well.

Have you ever noticed that someone driving faster than you is an irritation for just a few seconds; but, a slow driver is a pain for miles and miles, and screws up the flow of traffic. Unless a fast driver is also behaving recklessly, he's no bother to anyone but pompous ****** with a need to assert themselves into situations that really have nothing to do with them. It's not your business. Get over yourself.

Driving faster than you want me to isn't endangering you, or anyone in your vehicle, if I'm not riding your butt and show you due respect. The road doesn't belong to me. I have to share it. The same goes for people like you. Get out of the way. Don't police traffic by using your vehicle as a road block. That puts the people in your vehicle in harms way. Not everyone that pulls up behind you is going to be patient.

If someone is going faster than me - I move over -,
Why do people stay in the fast lane and not move right for slower traffic ??? Is it because they cant read (Slower Traffic Move Right) ...no...their just indignant about being an *** bag. These seem to cross all gender, race, social and economic lines.
some of their reasoning...
1. Going fast enough for everyone, so Im not moving.
2. Its going kill people if I move over and let a faster driver pass
3. *** bag
4. Fire Lane and No Parking signs do not apply
5. They take 24 items to the 10 item express lane, then pull out their checkbook AFTER everything's been totaled up and then slowly begin to write the check.
6. They park in handicapped spaces -Laziness is not a handicap."
7. They park in the fire lane instead of walking the other 30 feet from the lot to the "Heath" Club .
8.They didn't learn a G*d damned thing during their timeouts.
9. They work past that fear of being a restaurant cell-phone blabbering, sink-peeing, double-parking, fast-lane napping m*th*rf**ker.
10. Entitled to do these thing because ofanonymity. When my Moms not around to make sure my manner's are in use, "the rules don't apply to me". .

Common sense and common sensibilities are lacking these days, "respect" has been replaced with "self" with many people, sense of entitlement, no consideration for others, being completely selfish.

Remember Random acts of kindness, people - nothin' leaves you feeling better......when is the last time you gave a random act of kindness, civility in what has become a most incivil society performed by those with a conscience.

Wow Red:
When I read your reply I thought you had read my mind. I agree exactly with almost everything you wrote. I live in Montana where there really isn't much traffic on the interstates at all. It really blows my mind when I am traveling in the middle of nowhere and some, as they are now called, ***-bag (usually from back east) is cruising in the left lane at OR EVEN BELOW the speed limit. I follow for a short time (they saw me coming for miles), finally I flash my lights (mind you I am only driving slightly above the speed limit, at the "allowable" limit here). They just look in the mirror and keep on cruising. I end up having to pass on the right, which I feel is very unsafe, but I want to get where I am going sometime this week. This is worse when I get behind them towing my travel trailer, at much slower speeds.

I agree with the random acts of kindness, but remember Red, no good deed goes unpunished.

I say take a course in basic English composition and a spelling course, followed by a short course in punctuation.

Follow that with a reading comprehension class and you might be ready to post in a public forum and not look like an *** bag, as you put it....

Nowhere did I say I drive 30 over; nor did I say anything about running up behind someone going 100 - I merely pointed out they passed a law because of morons like you who think they own the left lane. Why did they pass this law ? Because of the growing # of stupid, un-courteous drivers who don't understand the simplest concepts of Interstate driving. The left lane is for PASSING - the right lane is for CRUISING. If you are cruising you should be in the right lane. That's the law. If you choose to ignore it, you are just as much of an *** bag as the people you complain about who are driving faster than you.

I have a suggestion for you - if you want to work in law enforcement, follow the directions listed in the 1st two sentences of this post and then sign up for law enforcement training.

No, what's rude as hell is you being in the passing lane and not watching your mirrors.

By the time I "fly up on you," you shouldn't even be there any more.

Where I live the actual law is stay right unless passing - there are signs on the road saying it! Makes sense to me! Why clog up the passing lane if you're not passing? Because the left lane makes you feel more special? Regardless if it's the law or not, it's common courtesy not to slow up traffic for no real reason.
