Water Wetter
Got this off the RedLine Oil site for those of you that might be interested:
"You can use WaterWetter in your intercooler as well as in the cooling
system. The treat ratio is about 3%, one ounce to a quart of fluid. It will
work best with less than 50% antifreeze, ideally in the intercooler if freeze protection wasn't needed just distilled water and WaterWetter would offer the best heat transfer and temperature reduction. In a cooling system with air conditioning we recommend at least 15% antifreeze to prevent icing the heater core. More antifreeze would be needed if severe winter temperatures are experienced."
According to their site this product offers better cooling properties and reduced corrosion.

I used Watter Wetter in my 96' Cobra (Ford acknowledged they had a cooling problem and issued a TSB for it) two different times and I never saw a benefit from it. It still ran hot and didn't even seem to cool it down at all. It didn't work for me, but it may work for others, as I've seen people swear by the stuff.
I agree with z96, tried it in my hot running '96Vette and made no difference at all. But I my just waste a few bucks and try it in the intercooler. Only because of the problems some have been experiencing. I don't think anti-freeze is causing it but who the hell knows. Plus I like BABOLT's ideas, products, etc. and he runs a 50/50 mix with distilled water so why not. Not putting any in the radiator though, I don't think these trucks run hot and I live in the desert.
Does water wetter have a rust inhibitor and water pump lubricant in it? If not, you better add those components to your water or you may encounter problems. Once my i/c is replaced I intend to run nothing but distilled water and the aforementioned additives through my system.
