I asked that question a while back and Fordsales gave me the name of a place, Called Santa Ana Wheels, (714)630-0308
He said they charge $500.00 for Chromed wheels exchanged. He said it was a good place. I want to do it myself but since I live up north with the salt, I'll wait until spring.

Tampa...I went to Discount and they had my wheels in two days. Price was $686.00 for everything. I don't know but it could end up being about the same as the $500 from Santa Anta . By the time you ship your old wheels back and pay for mounting and balancing. You would save state sales tax.

These are the official FRPP wheels with the "real" chrome plated center caps. Not the (as BABolt quotes) "Barbie Doll" chrome. They also have the SVT center logo, not the lightning bolt. $300.00 per wheel. In stock, I'll have mine in 4 days or so. Hopefully they're worth it.

It doesn't make sense to me not to have the original wheels to swap around. I really like them. (Cost not withstanding)

Tampa...Don't you have Discount Tire stores in Geo W country? I figured you would go for those wide rears BaBolt's guy is making. If I didn't have to save for a blower on the boat that's the way I would have gone. Trying to go fast to many places. Good Luck

 

I called Diversified and said they have wheels for the 99 lightning. Studs are bigger on the 2000 aND 2001.

The 99 wheels fit the 2000 L better than the 00 wheels do. I have both trucks and had tried it, and it's just fine. Do not!! install 2000 wheels on a 99, I believe they would be to loose. The holes on the 99 wheels are large enough to just slip on, and they actually fit the way I think a wheel should.

Hey thats good though, cause now I can see what mine will look like before I get it done, HEHHEHE. I still haven't decided wether I'm getting lightning chrome's or budnik's. When I get to that point and I'm ready, you see what I do. Still waiting for the wiper cowl so I can get everything painted at once. Ha, you don't have one of those.

So when you gonna come up to chicago and let me put a real system in the beatiful truck. I'm thinking about going with the w6's now. Don't do the w3's. waste of time. I don't care what anybody says on this site, the JL w6's are the best that have ever been made. I used them all from the w1's, w3's, w4's, w6's, and even the IB4's.

Question on the Discount Tire Chrome. Are these factory chrome rims? If not, how can you tell that you are getting the factory ones.
I am thinking of haveing mine chromed so I know that they are the real things.
