Splitfire install and uncovered Gomer-ism
I installed Splitfires this past weekend. Two and a half hours start to finish. Instructions were most helpful Chuck, Thank you.
Upon removal of the #3 coil pack on the passenger side, the spring unattached itself from the coil pack and remained on the plug..
After about 20 minutes of carefully maneuvering with a long standard screwdriver, I dislodged the spring with no damage to it.
Upon removal and inspection, it looked like Gomer put a piece of electrical tape around the top of the plug to hold the spring on. HELLO!!!! Naturally, the heat from the engine baked the tape to a fine crispy shell. Luckily, none of this culinary delight made it into the cylinder. Thank god for compressed air.
As for the performance, the roads are dry today so I'll get a chance to...um...er....test them. The truck does seem to run smoother on the highway too...
No platinum BS.

Speedin Bob,
Without the chipenfilter you should be able to notice the lowend throttle response. It should break the tires loose easier from a stop.
