Exclamation Install of Alum D/S

Picked it up from Mark today and installed it tonight. Install shouldn't take more than an hour. You'll need 12mm 12pt sockets. Overall weight savings of about 8lbs.

Talking

Also using a socket with a swivel joint (where the swivel is made to the socket not an adapter) will be most helpfull. I used that and about a 16" breaker bar to break the bolts loose.

Later,
Marvin

Thumbs up

I had my aluminum driveshaft and splitfire plugs installed on friday, they told me the 01 driveshaft did not have the ring at the end like our stock one does,so they took it for a quick spin to see if there was any vibration and came back and said it drove fine!

KGM,
The weather around here has been crappy since i installed them,i took my L out earlier today and took it up to 125 and backed off to see for detonation or misfire and it pulled awesome with no problems, going to do some testing with the g-tech as soon as the roads dry up!It does feel a little more aggressive on the low end.

Cool

HIGH ROLLER,

The benefit of the Splitfire plug is the low end throttle response. It probably won't be as noticable on your truck because of the mods you already have making it easy to break the tires loose. The chip makes it so easy to break the tires loose it probably makes it a little harder to tell.

Cool

LTNBOLT,
You are right, since installing that JDM chip i cannot even do testing on street tires,i have to use my drag radials for that!
Right now if i punch it at 30mph with street tires on my truck will go into a massive spin that will bury the rpm's if i stay on it.I have some new toys i am testing i will keep you posted!
