Post Hard cover or soft?

I'm kind of tight on cash but want a bed cover for my 01'. I like the hard covers but the prices are pretty high so I have been considering a soft one. Any opinions?

For me, it'll be the Pro Sport, hard cover, but if you need to remove the cover on a more frequent basis than I will, then a soft one will do well. plus, they are cheaper. Extang makes a great soft cover, i've only heard good things about them.

Well, it kind of depends on what you use your truck for. If you offroad or want to offroad a lot in it, you would probably want the soft cover unless you want to take off the hard cover everytime you do go offroading. If you don't offroad that much, then get the hard cover.

Dave,
I haven't ordered the cover yet. My L for some reason is still on delay, which probably means I won't get it until late March, and I have no where to store the cover. Once the truck get's in, that's one of the first things I'll be doing, along with a bedrug.

i love my prosport cover and bedrug..

undy - the cover is 850 plus shipping. mine was $1044 after shipping charges to louisiana.

marcus - when you do the bedrug install, use a lot of water to wipe down the bed. (to get rid of dirt) then use alcohol to prep the surface for the velcro strips. also, unbolt the tiedown hooks in the bed, put the bedrug in, then poke a small hole thru the bedrug & reinstall the tiedown hooks.

you need to change your handle.
it should be blackbolt01!!

Thumbs up

You're making me real jealous that I don't have my truck yet Clonetek.

Thanks for the tips. I can't wait. Oh, and one the two other boards (NLOC, and SVTperformance.com) I'm BLackBoLT01 just that I have over 600 posts on this name, why change it?
