I've heard of stunt rd. Can't find that one either. It'd be great on a crotch rocket, maybe when I get the dough to buy a 2000 GSXR 1300 I'll really look for them. So far I only go through them in my Camaro, and I know exactly what you mean about checking the road first, one night I forgot to, and there was an accident around a bend and I almost slammed into a VW Bug and a Police car. Luckily no sounds from the tires as I stopped, lots of downshifting though.

This thread certainly evokes a lot of recollections. Long time ago used to spend a lot of time tearing around Mulholland Hwy. and Encinal Canyon in my '65 Barracuda, mainly because I worked at Camp Kilpatrick at the time. In the 70's I rode my bicycle all over those mountains, and later my wife and I would ride my GS550 to the Rock Store on week ends. Scariest incident was coming home at night on Mulholland one time during rutting season, in my '67 Corvair, and a big buck jumped out of the brush and decided to dispute the right of way. He came damned close to nailing me, but fortunately I was right at the Sierra Creek turn off, and was able to swerve down that road and barely avoid the antlers. My heart still races when I think about it. Guess I am an old fogey, now, I don't even want to go canyon carving 'cause you never know what's around the next corner.
And j., I've been to Columbia, done the Hwy. 49 sightseeing bit, lovely area, but too far from the coast for this fisherman.

I had a '68 Corvair that I put a 350 LT1 in the back seat of and made a car that NO manufacture would've made! What a great car, it could pull the front wheels off the ground on the 1-2 shift AND get 26mpg! You could'nt carry a conversation with the passenger, but upon recollection my girlfriends then were not really worth talking to anyway

For the guy keeping score how do you count the Hurricanes in Fla. or the Earthquakes in Ca. I can handle the earth moving a bit now and then but that 75mph+ winds and rain and all that stuff that gets airborne that could hit my L ????????????????
