No i wish they where though. They don't offer the w6's up by me anywhere anymore, so I went with the w3's. Everyone sayd there as good as the w6's but I don't think so. I used to have a 97 gtp with 6 twelve inch w6's in the truck and I can tell the difference in the punch it has. Plus I've blown out the w3's once already with the same amp that I ran the w'6s with. If I could find three 10 inch w6's I would rather go with them, but nowhere to be found in my area.

RT,

Have you tried any of the online car audio places? I've bought from www.digitalwavez.com and numerous other places. Makes finding the stuff you need MUCH simpler. Heck, maybe you might even try Ebay

I don't I'll blow them up, I had each 12 in about 1 cubic foot before with about 400 watts to each one. Never had a problem before. Now with the 10's in .6 cubic feet, they should handle every bit of 600 watts rms, but they'll never see that much. Plus the amp I'm using now is very clean power so they won't get that much distortion. I'll never do the w3's again. Not worth the money. This will be the sixth setup for subs in my truck already. I think this is getting out of control.

Nothin wrong with having a superiot sound system..I have 2 12" Infiniti kappa perfects with a 1000 watt ppi amp, bridged, and it hurts to sit in it, i'm sellin becuase i dont want my truck to fall apart, and my back window keeps rattling loud as hell, the perfects are 1400 watts peak and i think 500 peak watts, they're runin at 2ohms so they're pounding...

RTKilla,

Did you have to shave off the mount bolts for the stock CD changer when you put that box in? If so, where did you relocate the changer to?

I went with tubes. Bazooka makes a mean competition tube (RS series) I have 2, one firing in each corner. No affect on seat movement at all. They hammer un-believeably hard and will produce a low that no "open air" box can match. For overall sound quality, ease of installation and $$$, I recommend tubes. Don't go cheap on the amp. Spend the x-tra and get a good one. "You don't need a lot of power, it's the quality of the power"

I didn't get one option on my truck when I bought it for three reasons:

#1 The stock system can suck my *****.
#2 I'm not towing anything with my baby.
#3 I bought a hard bed cover.

I'm really into music so, I changed everything out the second day I had my truck. I had to cut the bolts off that held the plastic box in. I have no clue as to what bolts there where to hold the stock cd changer in but there probably gone, HEHEHEHE. This is what my dash looks like now. And also the rest.

O.K, you win.
How do the speakers sound in the kick panel?
I'm thinking of doing that.
Nice head unit... can't wait until Pioneer, Sony and Kenwood come out with their MP3 units. I have 3 friends with the new AIWA CDC MP3 players in their cars. 150-170 songs on 1 disk....Awesome.... Always seems like Aiwa is the first to come out with the new stuff, although I had the first Mini-Disc player by Pioneer. That stuff flopped!

Actually kenwood is the first to come out with the MP3 player. THey call it the Z919, and its the badest one out there and it was the first to come out. Expensive (like 650) but awsome. Kenwood also came out with the first minidisc player for in dash. Sony came out with the first mini disc changer but it sucked. I had the first little portable mini disc in 1994 by sony, it was a bulky piece that broke down allot. I love the mini disc though, smaller compact, srcatch proof, erasable, tracks are movable, naming the tracks, practically skip proof, and also almost indestructable. I'm waiting for the mini disc MP3 format to come out. Sony's working on it now and they have done it, but they haven't realeased it yet. I wanted to do the Z919 when it first came out, but its not compatable with the mini disc player I have. The speakers in the door are awsome, there the kicker resolution 5.25 separtes. There basically the best speakers kicker makes. I liked them better then the Focal's because of the tinny sound of the kicker's. I like that more. They run about 400 a pair depending on where you go. In the door I got the 5x7 kicker impulse's and they are probably the best 5x7 out there now. I haven't seen any better. The where about 300 a pair and the tweeters swivell in a bridge across the woofer. The both of them come with the crossover's that have the built in light bulbs to burn up any extra power that might hurt the speaker. Overall the only thing I would change with the system I got in there now would be the subs. I not entirely happy with the kicker amp either. I have a zx500 at my house that my friend used and blew up on me, so i'm waiting to get it fixed and then I'll most likely sell the kicker amp and put zx500 back in. want to buy the kicker?
