Seems like lots of dealers charge MSRP and get it all the time for these SVT vehicles (except the SVT Contour, but that's another story )

I'd suggest you try another dealership.

I'm getting mine for MSRP. Good luck!

Anyone who bought or is buying on the A-Plan, does this sound right?
$27,800 is the price I got. After taxes dest. etc. $29,500 out the door.
I do plan on putting my order in on one, but I got laid off, and cant check A-Plan prices on the intranet.

Get a Ford employee to give you one their 4 'Friends & Family' X-Plan deals. Then find a dealer willing to let one go on Plan pricing. There are several dealers in the Detroit area that can find you a 'Friend' and then sell you a Lightning.

I am paying 30,172.00 for mine. I wouldn't pay a penny over the sticker price. Especialy since they are going to make 2000 more than last year.

I agree with Don C. There are many dealers willing to let them go below the MSRP. Do some research. And if you don't have to have it right away, I'll guarantee you that this November and December you can buy them for invoice.

The difference will buy all your mods. Had I known so many dealers were coming down on prices AFTER the "hot time", I would have waited. Oh no, not me - I had to have it right now, and I'll be paying for the "right now" for the next 4 years because I thought it couldn't be replaced or that I'd get a better deal. But, that's just me venting, I'm poor. Do what you will and be happy.

That sounds a bit high for A-plan. A 00 went for around $26.151 befor freight and tax. The 01's went up about, I think, $800; that being the case, I'll let you do the math.

Your lucky. Most dealers down here were charging $3k - $5k over sticker back in 1999.

1998 Nastruck, You might try Robert's Ford in Alton. I bought my 2000 L from them about a year ago. At that time they would not go below sticker, but all other dealers wanted 1 to 3000 over sticker.

I have been seeing every dealer seller for sticker. I have actually been looking for a dealer to go X-Plan, but have gotten nowhere. I would not go above sticker, as there are several dealers out there who are not trying to rip you off any more than sticker all ready is.

Thumbs up

I live in Bloomington IL. I bought mine from Uftring Auto Mall in East Peoria for $1000 under MSRP and NO SVT Acquisition Fee of $2500 that some dealers are trying to add. They went for this deal too fast. I should have gotten more greedy. Email me if you like to discuss (j.balensiefen@att.net).

Mine is to be built next week!!!!!!!!!!
