She's Gone # 2

Well...Another DSG is gone... Guess I'm following in Al's footsteps...

I have been torn over doing this for a while but you only live once...

Thanks to all those on this board that have given advice, posted threads that made my mods easier and busted b@ll$ when applicable

My L is gone and so is my daily driver... I can only drive one at a time... so might as well make it something I've wanted for a few years...

(I did keep the 3-piece wheels though :-) They'll be on the classified's soon)

Old: 04' DSG

New: 07' Cayman S

So is your daughter really going to let you drive it?

[j/k -- it's a great car. But it looks totally sissy next to a Lightning]

Agreed. To me, the Cayman is more "911" than a 911. When the 911 came out, it was a quick, light, relatively inexpensive spartan car. Now it's some overengineered, overweight, and WAY overpriced luxury liner.

The Cayman seems truer to the 911 tradition.

And they look much better IRL than in photos.

I guess I followed the lead that Al and Art took.....got myself a new ride too.

The new car looks great Art....if you're in town, let's drink some beers.

The reasons may be different, but the end result was the same....she's gone. I'm happy with the purchase, but I do miss the truck. With driving over 50 miles to work round trip, the gas was taking its toll.
My new toy.....

Flame suit on......

I like the 350z's also, that's why I own one It is my wife's DD. We put a Vortech supercharger on it along with a few other things. HP went from 220rwhp stock to 378rwhp today while only taking 2mpg off.

You didn't picture the kit with the intercooler.. Without the intercooler, it is weak sauce..

wow....I've heard of them gaining good HP with a turbo, at only 3200lbs it really makes a difference too. That thing must FLY!

Hey Rob....nice kit you have pictured there..... I think that would do the trick!

Maybe I'll have to run Art in his new Cayman....

Sorry for the hijack Art...

Yo Mike... You had to go hijack my thread huh????

The Cayman already has a few upgrades done by the dealer

I may have to go see Chris @ C2D if you go turbo on that Z.

1SweetSVT they are posted in the classified's here & you can e-mail me as well through the boards about the wheels.

Excellent choice. In a sea of overweight, gadget encumbered pretenders, this is probably the best balanced and most satisfying sport cars/track cars available at any price. I had the pleasure of driving one at the track and its absolutely outstanding. Also, one of the few cars I actually fit in. The styling is smooth and sensuous without the tasteless tacked-on scoops and wings seen on much lesser cars. Enjoy, and hope you get to track it.
