Red face Drivability Problem Need Advice! Please Help R9?

I have a problem that seems to be getting worse very slowly, or maybe even has been there all along.

I have a 2K Silver with an Airaid and Bigmouth Filter and a CUX2 R9 flipchip setup with the standard programming (towing street).

The problem I am seeing is the truck noses over (power loss)going into third almost like its running lean. It happens with the chip out but is much less pronounced, and gets progressively worse with each program. (ie not as bad in towing mode as in street mode)

I have made long WOT pulls in second on a real good grade and it seems ok, just after the shift it starts.

Other times it has never reared its head, ther have been times in the past where she had pulled great in third and beyond, before and after the R9. Much better after... )

When in street mode on the R9 once it actually felt like a flutter and even happened on increasing throttle going into third about 65 or so, acted like no fuel, showed about 8psi of boost but no power so I got out of it.

I have no Idea where to start looking or even what to do with the dealer.

They really hate it when you tell them "yea she pulls strong for first and second, but after the shift to third she pulls for a second and noses over at 95 or so, can ya check that out for me?"

Yea right that will happen...

Could something like this be fuel? I always have run the same from a local place and it has been fine.

Any Ideas where to start?

Sounds like a boost solenoid issue.. Check out the FAQ section.. This may be the culprit

When the Boost solinoid removes boost does the pressure stay?

I mean when this device dumps boost do you still see boost on the guage?

This is the "90 mph performance wall" issue. The ECU is pulling like 30 deg of timing out, thus "hitting a wall" and the nose-dive. It's not a lean condition, just a power cut due to the timing. Supposedly this is a bug in the stock chip which also shows up in the Superchip (probably exaggerated in the SC).

The occurance of this problem seems to vary from L to L... most people do not have any problems. I had the problem in position 1 every single time, but never position 2. Others have it is Position 1 sometimes. You are the first report of it happening in Position 2.

I had my R9 re-burned (free) to fix this.

There are a few posts on this, do a search on "wall" or "brick wall".

Thanks Guys

This is the first time I have heard about this problem.

Sounds like its search and reburn time.
