Silver, that was for a PSP switch that is the rocker type. He advertises switching on the fly while Superchips advises against it. You pulled the dash and it mounted so it could be accessed in the upper right corner of the powerpoint opening. I don't know if the wire for the SChip will reach that far. When I had one on my '99 I drilled a hole in the opening to the right of the glovebox that you see when it's open(also a good spot to stash owners manual) and mounted it in there.

I just leave mine coiled up and dangling by the chip. Then it's not a pain to remove. It's an R9 so you have to do other stuff to flip channels anyway. I have 3 chips so easy access is more important to me.

Just my humble opinion.

Post another general chip question.

I have a flip and and was looking for a good spot to mount the switch. Right under the glove box is a little hole that is perfect size for the switch. My question is what will happen if the switch gets flipped while I am driving the truck? What will happen if the chip falls out of the computer?

Thanks

John
