On the way home from work...
...In my black truck...(you know what happens next)
I came across this thing that looked like it had Celica headlights, didn't think much of it. Then we get on the highway, and this thing is moving pretty quick. I am in the right lane, doin' 65, the speed limit which also happens to be prime time for the Lightning kick down to 2nd gear. Well, he flies by at 80 or so, and then I follow suit. I was hoping he would match my speed and go from there, but I guess he knew better. Well, I match his speed for about 5 seconds, with him a good 5 lengths in front of me. Then he nails it. Then I hit it. Well, when it was all said and done, I was at most a carlength behind and travelling near top of third if that says anything.
Yes, I know which month it is, and hows your winter? Well, high today was 42, yesterday 41, and the roads are dry.
Oh, that car, it wasnt a celica, it was a Audi TT Coupe, a red one. Some sports car.
Sorry, no time to get a video this time.

Any time you start a roll-on from that kind of speed against even a half-fast car you are putting yourself at a serious disadvantage due to truck aerodynamics. Heck, the day I ran my 13.39, I was 0.2 - 0.4 quicker than the stock C5's, but their trap speeds were faster, and I'd be stupid to start a roll-on with one on the freeway. You gott play to the strengths of your vehicle, not its weaknesses, or you're going to lose some contests that you shouldn't.

Becareful, I got in a stoplight race with some punk in a Chevy (earlier model) last week on Minnesota. I was leading by about 1 1/2 car lengths when I hit some blackice and did a little fishtail. It kinda scares the ***** out of you when you're doing 75.
