I bought a white 95 in March of 2000 because I could not afford a 2000 Lighting. Well after some hard work and good money for my 95 White with 30K on it I got a 2000 Silver. I like the 2K better but that could be because it is my first brand new car.

here are some pics of my white 95

This is the only reason I miss my white 95. No idea why just something about the interior I liked (I like the 2K better but....)

I saw your lightning in person at FFw and I can say the pics do not do it justice.I would kill for a white old body.I know the 2000 l is a better faster truck but I personally like the older ones better.More old school raw power and a bit more fun .

One more thing,Are those seat covers,I thought the 'LIGHTNING" was level on the seats?

Lightningquick,

All the first gen L's came with Lightning writen on the seats side ways. I did not change anything in the interior except for the stereo.

Maybe some day I will take you up on your offer for the head light switch thing. But for now the only work that gets done to the L is in the garage where it sits for the winter.

Thanks.

Thanks for the rplies, I have missed her since I got my 99 with the 4.6and 4wd, it is hard to go from all that power to something you have to push just to keep up with trafic. I am sure once the new L arives, I will feel a lot better.

Don,
I think the trick is to keep working to build the truck you want, one that reflects your personality. Then to feel as proud with the truck 7 years down the road as you were when you bought it. It is nice with no payments also.

Here are the numbers for the stock 93-95 Lightning

Horsepower (SAE net): 240 hp @ 4,200 rpm
Torque: 340 lb-ft @ 3,200 rpm

the nloc.org site has much more information on it about the first gen lightings.

Here is the spec sheet on line.

The absolute best Ive ever seen them doing is 14.9 in the 1/4.If you think back,This is pretty damn fast for a production vechicle back in 1995.At that time I was running a 1995 5.0 xlt at 16.6 and lovin every minute of it!

Well, all I can say is that I will have the best of both worlds.

I still have the 94 Lightning that I bought new in Sept of 1994 (116,000 miles currently). She is still my daily driver and has been a great truck. When clean (many dirt roads here), she still looks new.

My other has an '01 on order. Can't wait to see what she can do...... however, we will never get rid of my old friend.

So, all of you can just be green with envy. j/k
