Post calling Factory Tech

I will be replacing the line mod valve in my tansmission soon and I was wondering what you would recommend as far as replacing the pan while I had her apart. There is several choices, the ford 4x4 pan, B&M, and perfromance automatic has a pan. I definitely want a pan that has a drain plug.

Thanks!

I personnaly think it's a waste, but I doubt it would hurt anything to add the deep plugged pan. Anything more than the 30 for the pan and 44 for the filter is a matter of how it looks, one deep pan is as good as another as far as the extra fluid goes. Buy the filter at a NAPA or similar place, I just bought one for a tranny I'm rebuilding (it's for sale, fits a diesel 4x4 if anyone's looking) and the filter is exactly the one we install at the factory, only it was $29 instead of $44.55 at teh dealer for the "genuine Ford" part.
