Lightning transmission troubles in the uk

Hi all
i live in the uk and own a 2002 lightning. last sunday after giving the old L a hard time. i lost fourth gear and revers gear. after a couple of hrs to cool off the gears work again. my local trans guy said the box needs a rebuild. thats okay. what do you guys recomend to rebuild it with and where can i get the spares from. do they ship to the the uk?

Get a BTS 4R100 or a TH-400 tranny.

If you want the absolute best (and a direct replacement) then BTS is DEF the move

I would also say BTS. But if it's out of your price range or there's an issue getting things shipped to the UK, you could look into getting a rebuild kit from here...

I've been running their Stage III trans for about 6 months and couldn't be happier.

Get the BTS if you can afford it. Also keep in mind that a BTS isn't just a rebuilt 4R100, it's a reengineered 4R100. More efficient and considerably stronger than the stock configuration. 4 years of mid 10 second passes on mine and it's still going strong. I highly recommend Brians trannys.
