My new Jl chip should be here on fri i was just wanting to know if anyone has been to the track with one yet

No track time yet...haven't made it to the dyno, either...but its FAR superior to the first offering and I'd venture it makes more power than the PSP chip which gave me my #s below.

More than power, the driveability is signficantly improved. That's why we bought these trucks in the first place...an overall driving experience. Well, this chip (JDM program) delivers in all areas...part-throttle response (the truck just leaps forward with just a twitch of the throttle), full throttle, tire-smoking performance, shifting is enhanced at all throttle/load positions.

This is the best chip I've run on my truck yet. Just no track time.

No track times yet,BUT I can tell you it is by far the best chip I've had yet. The street manners are simply superb. The top end at wot is alos improved over his old program. I don't think you'll be disasapointed.

I have the ease of being able to go direct to
SuperChips living only 7 miles from them.Had ping problems on the first chip I put in only at high rpm.They did a re-flash on my chip last Thursday and the ping got worse.It would ping as soon as boost kicked in.Took it back today and did a re-flash with the same program as JohnnyLightning street and all I can say is WOW The shifts are very smooth and the power was great.I even got a chance to test is on a rice rocket prelude and a steeda/cobra mustang(had both emblems,dont think ha knew what it was).The outcome was obvious,by about 3 lenghts. I do not think you will be dissapointed with JL's new program! NO PING!

Mikey88: If I were you I would definately go ahead and get the JL program. I had an R9 in mine and it wasnt working out. Went with the original JL program and it was much better. I have not tried the new program yet but if everyone says its an improvement over the original then I will be impressed. The original program was so good I just dont see how it could get any better I will let you know something after I get it. JL shot me an email saying it will be in the mail today, one day turn around, very fast! Just do it!

well the @#$%^&@#%^%& chip didn't get here in time so i guess i will post the numbers next week. This thing feels so slow with the stock program its bad when your trying to cut a light on a dakota normally i just tell them to leave when they feel good about it

Yes, the _new_ JL chip is the same program as the JDM one. This is the one I have, and its an oustanding program...much better than the original JL one, better than the Superchip I ran (not the R9...I had the _original_ Superchip), and better than the latest PSP chip I have.
