Im not a fan of slapper bars. I would go with the Cal-Tracs in my opinion. Thats what I have comming in the mail.

Mine went right on with no problems. I've been running them for 2 years now. I traded out a set of Jay Lincoln's (Remember him guys?) Truck-Tracks for them. Those Truk-Tracks were built to last, too.

Not a prob. I think I'll be going with the long bars anyway. All I need is a quick easy solution to prevent wheel hop and from breaking anything. I don't frequent the track, so I think the long bars are the right choice for mostly street trucks.
Traction bars (Lakewoods, Slappers) are sufficient enough for street and strip use. Unless you're at the track every weekend, they will be sufficient enough in doing their job as stabilizing the rear-end and getting you off the line..That being said, they must be installed properly. If your looking for traction, all the of the above will help. You must have some sort of drag radials or slicks to get you there. If you're a novice driver on the track, you shouldn't have any problems cutting great 60ft times. For less than $100.00, they are the best bang for your buck!
i ran the lakewoods for bout a year and half. hate the hardware as i broke two bolts in passenger side mount one nite at track. installed the slide a links bout
six months ago and do like em. i like the adjustability of them although the heim joints are loud when going slow. part of it though. install of the links are a pain the in the royal a@#
