Post 4D THUNDERS at Kinston

My wife and I met 4DTHUNDER and his family at the Kinston Drag Strip today. Heck of a nice guy with a great family. It was my first trip on the drag strip, and I was really surprised with my results. My times were not very consistent however. Best run was a 13.054 @ 104.291 with a 13.060 as my next best run. I had a total of 8 runs.

4DTHUNDER had more consistant runs and I saw the back of his truck on all but a couple of occasions. Our trucks ran very close when we were both able to cut a decent light and were able to hook up.

I will not say what 4DTHUNDER ran, I'll let him break that news. Let's just say he is in a club I didn't make today.

There was one other L there that the owner said was stock. He was running 13.50's. A strong truck IF he was stock.

4DTHUNDER, thanks for an enjoyable afternoon of good friendly racing. We will definitely have to do this again. Most fun I've had in my 50's. Man, I love these trucks.

Cool

Thanks for the great competition T-bone. I think it inspired my beast somewhat. They were definitely some close runs. Those were some great times for your first time out in (I won't say ) years. If the temp would have been 10*-15* cooler(about 60* today) I think you'd have hit the 12's. Track hooked pretty good too, enough anyway that my sister run mine to a 13.17 on her second run ever on a dragstrip(won't mention her first run but can you say rrrooollllll into the throttle?).
Anyway, I finally broke the 12 barrier with a 12.974 and a 12.988 , can you say Yyyeeessss!!?!
