Noel-
I think I like it more than if you had gone with the Nascar wheels.
After running my tall 16's for a while, I decided I was giving too much up in traction and handling. I am now back to the original SVT rims (but chrome)....hehehe. Mine have 285/50/18 Yokohama AVS's and I am pretty happy with those.
Overall looks pretty good. I am sure the ride is better and I know they will last just about forever.
See you at the tree....Alex

you asked for it you got it. Here are pics with my new wheels and tires. They are pirelli scorpion zero 285/65r16 mounted on ultra 16x10 wheels. They are h rated (130 mph) and have a hardness utqg of 440 when compared to the f1 300 which means they should last 60-70,000 miles. They cost me $105 each verses tire racks price of 152 and the wheels (including lug nuts) cost $100 each which totaled less than the cost of a new set of f1s. They seem to work great and i've had up to 140 with no problems. They do rub slightly on the front piece of the ground effects at the back of the tire when i turn 90 degrees to go into my driveway. No big deal for me. Don't use the glue on weights, i tried them and you simply cannot balance a tire that way. I used the regular pound on weights and they balanced fine. Before casting disparaging remarks remember i own several assult rifles and therefore, according to janet reno, am a dangerous person worthy of investigation.

these tires stick out past the wheelwells and if you go thru any water, your wash job is instant history. At the dragstrip with the additional 2" diameter i can leave earlier and not redlite. The speedo is off about 4 mph (reads slower)at 70 mph. At the strip i am still running the mt ets and not these on the rear. Truck shifts fine as transmission shift points are not effected by tire size. Noone i talked to including superchips and ford said they could adjust the speedo for the tires.

I contacted Noel today, he posts frequently on the same Houston Lightning Club Website that I do and he says he can't post up on the F150 site, they barred him years ago, or something!
Here's where you can talk with him if you wish!
