Post Gear change

Hi Guys, I'm an intruder to your site--well kinda. I do not have a Lightning; I needed a family vehicle, so I bought an extended cab Roush. I'm in your section because I notice that some of you have put the 4:10 gears in your truck. My ? is, have any of you exerienced any strange shifting? I have purchased a Superchip to correct the speedo but I still hit the rev limiter on the 1-2 upshift. Mike. T is working on this for me but I would like to hear from anyone that has had the same problems.

It's hard to make a 5000lb truck run good. I thought mine was until I came to your forum--13.2 in the 1/4, GEESHHHHH!

Well... once my Dakota started in the 13's I had shifting problems... I had to re-modify the shift kit to make it shift 1-2 (it would literaly stick in gear)

I'm pushing 9PSI as well.. and I know what ya mean

If you dont have a shift kit, get one, if you have one, make the 1-2 shift "firmer" (I had to drill the 1-2 hole in mine slightly oversized, and increased the line pressure)

Just some food for thought...

Thanks Coolva, I've been looking at some kits--guess it's time.
