Ouch!!!
Ouch!!!
Woke up this morning to go to work, and noticed my mufflers pinging and rattling while hitting suttle bumps in the road. Pulled over and noticed this....

Have no idea what the heck happened. Damage is isolated to this area only. No damage to rims or any other areas. ?????? Girlfriend drove truck last night but, didn't notice anything out of the norm....UGhhh!

Welll i guess it makes it less pain full to clean the tips.!
Wow that sucks sorry
(for the record when I was married my Wife WAS NOT allowed to drive my cars, ya it pissed her off but oh well)
With a little muscle you can bend those suckers right back in place
As for the scratches you'd be surprised what you can wet sand out and then compound
and polish back to perfection.... ; o )

Yeah but you will need to get a hammer from a Chevy tool kit
and tap out that dented tip.
The plastic skirt section can be removed and taken to a paint shop.
Get the misses to drop it over with her charge card details
Check you tyres and rims for any cuts, bulges or damage.

When did you do that !!!!!! p.s you need tires lol
Looks like the brunt force knocked the system off of the hangers. If I can't bend the pipe tip to where it looks perfect like the second, I will just cut the tips off and replace with fresh one. It been bugging me all night, to where i couldnt sleep. I will have the exhaust system back in working order by mid-day.
On the other hand the scrathces will have to take some work. I almost thought about sanding prepping, use a plastic primer, then paint that one little section flat black. I saw a red truck with that section painted black, around the chrome tail pipes and was impressed with the looks. It really accented the the pipes and gave the truck an aggessive look.
Anyone have any pics of their truck painted black on that little section around the pipe tips? Im in limbo with the paint.. If so bad it cant be buffed, I will try the black paint as discussed before. If not I just buy a whole new piece and start over.
Really SUX, theres not a ding or scratch on this truck except for this lil mishap.....
Thank chris

We're not that lucky in the big city. Jail is our overnight hangout during one of those adventures.
Looks like the truck took a tight turn and hit a high curb. Bassanni exhaust stood out about 2 and half inches. It took the brunt force of the curb and busted the hangers underneath. Investigating it more closely, you could see where the rear tire was scuffed due to running allong a curb.
