Can someone explain how to jump the resistor without damaging anything so I can reverse it later?

For what it's worth I had a brand new high/low relay that was bad... This is the one right next to the master cylinder under the hood...

Where did you get the new one and do you know the part #? I may give that a try and see if that fixes it.

I have heard what Sal's saying many times over the years
Big pumps on stock Fuel Rail ='s NO PROB
BUT Big Pumps on Larger Fuel Rails ='s PROBLEMS
As he explained you must "modify the resistor setup", he didnt say JUMP IT.
Although some do Jump It and it seems to work fine I remember Sal explaining it to me once and of what I remember he doesnt jump it, he either changes it to a diff resister or uses another resister on the system to give you the proper voltage (and flow). Otherwise what your explaining is exaclty what happens, it goes lean at a certain spot but is ok when you go WOT.

Do you know how they are modifying the stock resistor?

Hope Sal jumps in and explains it but I "think" they add another Resister
If you do a search you'll see this problem is common with aftermarket rails

But it's also happened with stock rails

Some seem to fix it with the jumper, for others it didnt work
May want to write one of the people that had the same problem
(Like Jody) and ask what finally fixed it

Maybe hooking up another stock resistor in parallel

Correct. That gives less overall resistance, and drops the voltage to about 9 volts, instead of 7.

I don't suggest bypassing the high/low voltage system.

Cool...I'll tie them together when my other resistor gets here...thx

Talking I Run A Lot Of Horsepower But Don't Use The Aftermarket Fuel Rails

I run a lot of horsepower but have yet to run aftermarket fuel rails they can cause a lot of problems if you are running 800+ horsepower then you may need them but with the proper size injecters and 255lph pumps and tune should be enough just my 02 worth no need for the over kill. LIGHTNING FAST

I'd have to agree, set up on Kill mine Dyno's just under 800 RWHP and I have no fuel delivery issues at all. I'm using stock F-150 Fuel Rails and the Accu Fab Boost Sensitive Fuel Regulator, I also have the oversized JDM Fuel Lines and the Canister Type Racing Fuel Filter. (and I'm stealing fuel from the rail when it's on the spray). I changed the plugs when I first got it which was right after Mike did a string of killer runs on the truck and the plugs looked brand frigging new. I've never seen all 8 look so perfect and so the same in all my plugs changes (little ole TR-6's too)

Well, I figured out it's not the FPR. I tried changing relays and nothing. So I cut out the resistor and tied the wires together (jump) and now the problem is gone. The fuel pressure did go up about 8 PSI at idle, but I adjusted it back down and now it's fine. I just got done reading all the above posts and now I'm concerned that I need to do something else. So basically I need to re-install the resistor and install another resistor in-line with the first one? How exactly is more resistance going to be better?
